Partnership for Strong Families offers support to adoptive families by way of information and referral services linking families in need with PSF’s full array of service providers.  Adoptive families in need may contact PSF to be connected to a variety of services including but not limited to:

  • Immediate in-home crisis intervention services
  • In-home behavior analysis
  • In-home parenting
  • Psychological, developmental, educational or medical evaluations not otherwise covered by Medicaid
  • Specialized counseling for the child and/or family

A special asset to PSF’s post-adoption program is the availability of the Village Counseling Center’s (VCC) specialized counseling and Adoption Success Program staffed by Certified Adoption Counselors.   This program specifically provides education and support to prospective and post-adoptive families and children regarding the social, emotional and cultural challenges involved in the adoption process.

We can help change the lives of many children and teens.

A hallmark of PSF’s system of care is our belief that child abuse is preventable. We have found that by providing resources and supports to families in need on the front end, many can avoid reaching the crises that lead to formal child welfare involvement functions.
